We are looking for a senior Delivery Manager

Location: Bratislava (hybrid)

Contract: Freelance/FTE

Start: November 2025 

 

We are the leading telco company in Slovakia, currently driving one of the most significant IT transformations. We're looking for an experienced Delivery Manager to join our Digital team, which owns all customer-facing digital channels – mobile applications, web, e-commerce, and self-service solutions.

You'll be the orchestration expert who connects the dots between teams, manages dependencies, and drives delivery excellence. We need someone who combines strong technical understanding with exceptional organizational and communication skills.
What you'll be doing
•    Managing end-to-end delivery of complex initiatives involving multiple internal teams, external vendors, and cross-functional dependencies
•    Tracking and managing dependencies across teams, systems, and projects – identifying risks early and driving resolution
•    Creating and maintaining delivery roadmaps for digital products (web, mobile apps, e-commerce) ensuring on-time delivery
•    Facilitating scope and timing discussions – helping teams make informed trade-offs between features, quality, and deadlines
•    Establishing clear communication channels across all stakeholder levels – from development teams to senior leadership
•    Monitoring delivery health across multiple workstreams – maintaining real-time visibility of progress, blockers, and risks
•    Escalating and resolving impediments proactively – knowing when and how to engage the right people to unblock teams
•    Coordinating with external suppliers and vendors – managing contractual deliverables, timelines, and integration points
•    Driving Agile practices across teams – ensuring effective sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement
•    Building strong relationships across the organization to facilitate smooth collaboration and quick issue resolution
•    Leveraging AI tools to automate routine tasks, reporting, and improve overall efficiency

What we're looking for
• Proven experience as a Delivery Manager, Program Manager, or similar role in complex IT environments
• Strong IT background with solid understanding of software development lifecycle, system architecture, and integration patterns
• Experience with B2C digital products – mobile applications, web portals, e-commerce platforms
• Expert knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) with practical experience in large-scale implementations
• Exceptional dependency management skills – ability to map, track, and proactively manage complex interdependencies
• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities across all organizational levels
• English skills – ability to communicate with international teams
• Proven ability to facilitate productive discussions and drive consensus in challenging situations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with structured approach to issue resolution
• Experience managing multiple teams simultaneously – both internal and external/offshore teams
• Track record of successful vendor management and navigating contractual relationships
• Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and translate between technical and business language
• Knowledge and active use of AI tools for process automation and productivity enhancement
• Experience with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, or similar)
Nice to have
• Telecommunications industry experience – understanding of telco systems, processes, and specific challenges
• Experience with large-scale system transformations or legacy modernization programs
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture and integration patterns
• Experience managing teams in regulated environments with strict compliance requirements
• Background in risk management and mitigation strategies
• Previous experience in CRM, billing, or order management domains
• Experience with UX/UI processes and collaboration with design teams
• Knowledge of analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
