For our client, a leading global bank based in Vienna, we are seeking an experienced Data Specialist.

About the role:
What you can expect
• You analyze existing data sources, data flows and data quality across the platforms used by Research
• You assess data vendors and external offerings and support vendor selection decisions
• You identify gaps, redundancies and quick wins in existing data setups
• You collaborate closely with internal data, IT and analytics teams
• You define data models, KPIs and data requirements together with the business units
• You support specifications, development of taxonomies and Proofs of Concept (PoCs) in close cooperation with the business units
• You accompany implementation from concept to productive usage, including alignment on scope changes and priorities
• You support the implementation of data governance models
• You ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, Group standards and constraints
• You moderate data workshops and requirement sessions
• You prepare decision documents and take responsibility for escalation in case of goal, scope or governance conflicts
What you bring to the table
• 8+ years professional experience in data projects
• Very strong understanding of data architectures and analytics setups
• Professional experience as Data Consultant, Data Product Consultant and/or Data Governance Consultant
• Ability to connect Research strategy, workflows and data infrastructure projects
• Experience with the full data product lifecycle, handover to operations and clear ownership models
• You are a versatile team player that enjoys collaboration but also solves problems on its own
• You demonstrated ability to build processes that support data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workflow management
• You are familiar with agile working methods
• You maybe have experience in a financial or banking environment
• You maybe have knowledge of financial, economic and market indicators
• You maybe are familiar with common data vendors (e.g. Bloomberg, FactSet, LSEG)
Soft skills
• High communication and alignment skills across business and IT
• Structured working approach and strong problem‑solving skills
• Fluent English; German or another CEE language is appreciated, but not mandatory.
